Maybe it’s that our favorite sin has lost its appeal. Maybe it’s that even then, we finally figure out that we still can’t overcome it and live the perfect life on our own willpower. Maybe it’s a realization that we don’t even know what needs to be done in our life, but we know that something has to change.
At some point, we realize we have to make a decision – THE decision. Are we going to continue to try to carry this our self, to keep on pretending that we’ve got it all figured out; or are we going to admit that we don’t really have the answers or the plan that will lead us to happiness, heaven, and especially to Him? Are we going to surrender, and thus win the victory? Have we had enough – once and for all?
Lauren Daigle (rhymes with bagel) has a song about reaching that point of surrender. It’s titled “Once and For All” and will touch you deeply and possibly help you in your surrender today.

Lauren Daigle – Once and For All
God I give You what I can today These scattered ashes that I hid away I lay them all at Your feet
From the corners of my deepest shame The empty places where I've worn Your name Show me the love I say I believe
Oh Help me to lay it down Oh Lord I lay it down
Oh let this be where I die My Lord with thee crucified Be lifted high as my kingdoms fall Once and for all, once and for all
There is victory in my Savior’s loss And in the crimson flowing from the cross Pour over me, pour over me yes
Oh Lord I lay it down Oh Lord I lay it down Help me to lay it down Oh Lord I lay it down
Once and for all Once and for all
