Toward a Closer Walk

We All Bleed the Same

Our nation/world is divided. To borrow someone else’s words, “one race - many colors.” Genesis 1:27-28 reads, “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it…’” God didn't have multiple creations of man. He made man once and provided for mankind to multiply and live on the earth. As time went on Adam and Eve rebelled against God and they were sent out of their perfect Garden of Eden home. Since then this world has gotten turned upside down. Jealousies and fighting have continued till we are where we are today.

Refocusing on our Creator and His plan of salvation for humankind is the answer. Jesus gave his life on the cross. By accepting His gift of life through His death on the cross we are changed and our purpose in life becomes a life of living for Jesus and telling others about His gift of salvation. God wants us to encourage humanity to come back to a relationship with Him.

Paul wrote to the church in Galatia these words, “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christs, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:26-29). This tells me that we are all the same in the eyes of God and as the song by Mandisa says “…we all bleed the same…”

Lord God, please bring peace in our lives and our communities as we learn to know that we all are one in you. Help us to deal with all the unrest and confusion around us in ways that will result in that oneness. In Jesus Name, Amen
